Hey everyone,

I was listening to Atomic Habits by James Clear earlier this week and he shared a quote from Carl Jung that made me stop what I was doing.

He said “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” 

And it’s true. We go about our day, day after day, often in the same routine. We get up at the same time. We complain about not having enough time. We fall into bad habits and we start to unconsciously do these things every day. Habits like getting up late and not being a morning person. Habits like not having enough time to workout. And before you know it, you start blaming your situation in life on fate, politics and religious beliefs.

HOWEVER, if you can make these unconscious habits conscious, and start to realize that you can change and your habits can change, your life will start to change!

The amazing thing about this quote from Carl Jung (and the whole book Atomic Habits) is that it brings a new level of self awareness to your life. And every positive change starts with a self awareness that there is something going on that needs to change, followed by a belief that you can make that change, and finally a small step in a new direction.
